The Definition of No Fault in Auto Insurance

The auto insurance definition for at fault is an individual that is responsilbe for (therefore liable for) loss or destruction due to an accident or incident.  For expample if you were crossing an intersection and someone runs a red light and t-bones or crashes into your car they would be at fault.
