When you renew your auto insurance policy each year you may recieve a credit towards paying the premius for the up and coming year.  This is generally known a renewal credit.  Some companies may even return part of your premiums at the end of the policy year for being their customer which is sometimes called a dividend.  Ask a prospective insurer if shopping for a policy if they offer credits and or dividends like these.
