Auto Insurance Tip: What you Drive has a Bearing on Premium Costs

Posted on in Auto Insurance

Know that what you chose to drive has a bearing on what you are going to pay for auto insurance.  One of the variables used in determining how you’ll pay is what its going to cost to repair the automobile if in an accident.  If looking to buy a new vehicle think about the total cost in this regards but find out specifically about the parts.  More expensive parts will equal high premiums.  Another factor are statics the insurance company looks at.  For instance if the vehicle type is stolen often, the frequency of claims and when in accidents stats on injuries.  The safer and less often stolen the auto is generally the less its going to be to insure.  When shopping for a new car do research on thes points because you won’t want to be surpised later with ubsurdly high premiums costs.

Definition of the day: work loss.  I find this to be a very important consideration with a car insurance policy.  This protects the policy holder in the event of an accident from loss of income due to an injury.
